Please don’t use the back door

This is a topic that needs no introduction.  Its a question that keeps coming up, as people explore the idea around what JumpSeat is all about.

How do you stop Renters from going directly to the Listing Owner?

There’s a few articles on the web, how other trading sites such as Airbnb, Trademe etc have tried to address this problem. Why is it a problem?  Because a platform such as those, lose money when you go through the back door.  Lets face it, if people want to find a way around, they will.  So we’re not here to talk about things we can’t control.  What we would like to raise instead – we are asking you for your support. We need to build a community of trusted business owners that in bodies ‘Back Your Back Yard‘ mentality.

Kiwi Integrity, Ingenuity and Grit

No one knows how this pandemic (Covid-19) is going to pan-the-demic-out. Or what the true effect it will have on businesses. What we do know, is that we have to change, create, innovate but also adapt, compromise, contribute if we are to find a way to keep working.

We love the saying ‘Back your Backyard’.  Love what it stands for – its so Kiwi.  History has shown us, that we are a testament to so many wonderful inventions.  Especially when our back is against the wall – that’s where you’ll see the real magic of Kiwi ingenuity and true grit.

So whats our part in all this?

JumpSeat is an opportunity for business owners to connect across different industries. Creating new communities within, where business owners can generate money by renting things they already do and own.  For other business owners, the ability to save money, by renting those things they don’t have, but need.  And as a whole, for everyone to be able to fight the good fight and survive, by ‘Showing Up Together‘ and ‘Staying Connected‘.

It’s all about the money honey

Ones with assets, ones without and ones who have a bit of both

We need to build trust if we want people to participate if they are to part with their hard earned cash.  Users need to know, what they see and read on the platform, is a true account of who they are and what they have.  You can’t do that effectively when those who will use and abuse the site, by trying to find a back door.  Our question to the back-door-users, if you already had the connections, why use a site like this in the first place?  The answer is, many of us don’t have these connections.  We know this isn’t the holy grail of websites (being the answer to all things business).  What it can be however, is another tool in your tool-box that can help sustain your business.

How many businesses are forced to accept payment terms ’20th of the following Month’ or even longer.  Via JumpSeat we are able to collect fees for services within a week.

We at JumpSeat believe in fighting for communities.  There’s nothing complicated about what we are trying to achieve here.  It’s about supporting local businesses, by helping to keep kiwi’s in jobs. It’s as simple as us ‘Backing Our Own Backyard‘ – because that’s what makes us Kiwi.
