Questions related to verifying your JumpSeat account for payment

1. Renters must pay the rent to JumpSeat for the booked period.

2. The rent is set out in the listing in NZD dollars and includes GST.

3. A Renter must pay the rent at the time of booking, for the booked period, or on a recurring weekly payment plan. Unless otherwise agreed by us, all rent must be paid by credit card and/or debit card.

4. The rent is non-refundable.

5. If payment of any amount owed to us is not received we may: 

  1. charge interest on overdue amounts. Interest will be calculated from the due date to the date of payment (both inclusive) at an annual percentage rate equal to the corporate overdraft reference rate (monthly charging cycle) applied by our primary trading bank as at the due date (or, if our primary trading bank ceases to quote that rate, then the rate which in the opinion of the bank is equivalent to that rate in respect of similar overdraft accommodation expressed as a percentage) plus 2% per annum; and/or
  2. recover all costs incurred in recovering overdue amounts and interest from you, including the actual fees charged by our lawyers and any debt collection agency.
  3. charge an administration fee for the recovery of late payments.

6.  We will pay the net amount to the Listing Owner within 5-7 business days.  Less JumpSeat’s Service Fee of 15%.

7. Increases:

  1. We may, by giving at least 30 days’ notice, increase the Commission from time to time. We will notify you (the Listing Owner) of any increase and the effective date of the increase by emailing you at the email contact address that you have most recently supplied to us.
  2. If you do not wish to pay the increased Commission, you may remove your listings and/or your account. If you do not remove your listings before the effective date of the increase, you are deemed to have accepted the increased Commission.

Stripe, is our payment platform.  Stripe provides an easy and secure payment process between Renter and Listing Owner. Stripe handles identity verification and compliance requirements when dealing with the collection of money.  To enable these checks, Stripe needs to gather certain information so they can verify your identity, such as:

  • Legal Name
  • DOB
  • Personal mailing address
